Our physical office is Closed, but our service continues.
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve, we want you to know that the safety and security of our clients and our staff is our top priority. That is why we have made the difficult decision to close our office to clients and the public. All scheduled appointments will be rescheduled, or held via teleconference, Skype, Facetime, or Zoom.
However, we are absolutely committed to continuing to provide our clients unparalleled service through these troubling times. Our lawyers and staff continue to work out of the office to diligently protect our clients' interests. We remain readily available via telephone, email, Skype, Facetime, and Zoom.
The Superior Court of Justice has suspended operations.
The Superior Court of Justice has suspended all regular operations, effective Tuesday March 17, 2020 until further notice. We have been informed by Court staff that judges will not sit for non-emergency matters for at least the next eight (8) weeks. This includes any currently scheduled civil hearings in Simplified Procedure and Small Claims Court. All matters currently scheduled have been adjourned to June 9, when a judge will hold a "scheduling court." The Court of Appeal encourages parties to adjourn.

The Small Claims Court has suspended sittings.
All sittings of the Ontario Small Claims Court is suspended until further notice. This includes all trials, settlement conferences, motions, and assessment hearings. However, courthouses remain open for filing purposes. You can read more by clicking here.
