Learn the different ways to organize, register, and operate a small business in Ontario. This course will examine the legal differences between a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability partnership, and a corporation. We will examine the benefits and pitfalls of each type of business. Learn how to protect yourself from personal liability, so that if your business fails you won't lose all your personal assets. You'll also receive key information about registration of your business in Ontario, and what to look out for when using third party services to register or incorporate your business. We will also examine the structure of a corporation, and what it means to capitalize a corporation.
